Day 334 (1 MAR, YEAR 2): Beginner Events / 4WD Challenge / Grand Valley East

After buying this car, I headed over to the Tune Shop for a Full Custom Transmission, a bottle of Nitrous, and a Stage 2 Turbo Kit. More power can be added without affecting the A-spec point offering, but I found these add-ons to be sufficient and necessary.

Please refer to these track maps when looking up Turn numbers/names ** Special thanks to AMG @ GTPlanet.net for the hard work put in to generate them!!! **

I cut hard on the inside of the first turn, banging into the Audi, and move into P3 by the time we exit. As we head into Turn 5, I try to move back to the inside on the Range Stormer, but I'm too close and bang into it's bumper, slowing me down considerably. I'm close to the Beetle as we enter the tunnel, down 1.137" at T2, and I finally pull up to its side as we enter Turn 9.

I lean on the Beetle through Turn 10, but it still pulls away as we head for the line. I'm down 0.675" at the end of the first lap, and as we head through the first corner, the Audi and RS200 catch up. As we approach T1, I have to put a block on the Audi, and I'm down 0.963" to the Beetle.

I pass it on the outside of Turn 6, which puts me into the left side wall heading into Turn 7. I try to use the Beetle to help make the turn, but it brakes and I end up very deep through the turn. I'm neck and neck with it as we enter the tunnel, down 0.230" at T2, and I finally take the lead as we brake for Turn 9.

Heading down the front straight, I'm able to block to protect the lead, and as I cross the line the RS200 comes up fast on the left. Fortunately, there's no more track left, and I eek out a narrow win.

I ended the race with 4.1 miles on the odometer.
