I move into P4 by the time we enter Turn C on the first lap, and move past the MR2 at Turn D to move into P3. I'm on the bumper of the leader as we come through Turn F, but the 350Z and the Elise start to pull ahead as we head down the back straight.
I finally take the lead as we pass under the Monkey Tree, and I'm in the lead by 0.878" at T3. I finish the first lap with more than a second lead, but the Elise catches up by the time we make it to Turn D. I block it from passing, and have to continue to do so as we drive down the back straight again. I'm up by 0.130" at T2, but the Elise pulls back a bit. By the time I make it past the last corner, I'm in the lead by quite a bit, and I try to cross the line backwards.
I ended the race with 9.7 miles on the odometer.
