I quickly move up to P2 off of the launch, and hound the RX-7 as we go up the hill. I manage to dive on the inside of it as we turn into the tunnel, and I lead from there.
I can't manage to break away from the RX-7, as it usually catches up along the front straight. I do well enough to block it for a lap. However, it tries to squeeze by along the left as we head down the front straight to begin the final lap. I grind it into the wall, but I go wide to put the left side into the dirt as we come through the first two turns.
The RX-7 and I are side-by-side as we head up the hill, but it falls back to brake for Turn 3. and from there I hold the lead from there for good.
I finished the race with 19504.7 miles on the odometer.
