I finally move past the '98 Sedan as we go through the first tunnel. I move into P3 just before going through the 2nd tunnel, after banging my way past the black IMPREZA. I take P2 into Turn O, and I'm down less than a second after the first lap.
However, things get hairy taking Turn A on Lap 2. I try to cut a across the grass to take the inside of the 3400S, but my angle is off and I end up spinning into the left side wall. I almost aborted this run, but with half of my bottle left, I go for it.
I creep back onto the track and get bashed by the '98 Sedan. I'm down 7.570" at T1, and down 5.271" at T2 before I finally take P5 again. I'm sideways as I come in too hot for Turn 0, and end up in the grass on the right side of the front straight.
I'm down 4.210" at the start of the final lap, and cut the grass again for Turn A. I bang into the outside wall again moving into P4, and pass the other 22B as we come through the tunnel. I'm now down 1.442" at T1, and pass the P2 IMPREZA upon entry into Turn E.
I catch up to the 3400S coming out of the second tunnel. It's not until the final turn when I'm able to take away its inside and push past it, crossing the line 0.139" ahead of it.
I finished the race with 19466.5 miles on the odometer.
