Having to start these races from P6 can make things tougher than usual. There's more than 6 seconds on the clock by the time my first lap starts, and I crash-turn Turns 3 and 4 to try to make up time.
I'm still in P5 at T1, down 5.426", and the '94 Sedan and BTR start to break away out of Turn 6. I bash into the back of the Prodrive at the hairpin, who bashes into the back of the '98 and sends it into the wall. This puts me up to P3, but I'm still down 5.319" at T2. I slowly start to catch up, but coming through Turn 10, I nudge the corner of the wall and find myself down 4.470" at the end of Lap 1, with almost half of my bottle gone.
I close the gap to just over 3 seconds at T1 of Lap 2, and I crash-turn the hairpin to cut into the gap further, down 1.791" at T2. But coming through Turn 10, I try to dive in on the inside of the BTR. The impact pushes me into the corner again, and I nearly come to a dead stop when I hit the corner again.
Down 2.651" at the start of Lap 3, I crash-turn Turns 3 and 4 again to catch up. I try to take the inside of the BTR again at Turn 5, but I'm too late and I go wide into the outside wall. I'm down 2.263" at T2, with only 2 bars of Nitrous left as we head down Kowloon.
I finally move into P2 after crash-turning the hairpin, and find myself down 0.602" at T2. I take the inside of the '94 at Turn 10, and finally manage to avoid the inside corner. I block the '94 along Waterfront, and crash-turn Turns 3, 4 and 7 again. I maintain the lead at about 1.5 seconds, and cross the line as my last bar of Nitrous goes away.
I finished the race with 19451.2 miles on the odometer.
