I kept the Car in race trim for the practice session, and still managed to qualify P1 with a 2'54.148, 1.496" quicker than P2.
After the launch, the G4 pulls ahead while we're still on the straight, and I manage to retake the lead as we enter 1st Curve. Not wanting to risk another failed run (this was my 2nd attempt), I decided to lawnmow the grass between 2nd Curve and the Esses.
But even after doing so, the G4 comes up close behind as we enter the Degner kink. I bust a John Deere again, and manage a 2.651" gap as we cross T1. The G4 goes into the junk 3 times, and for some reason, makes a bunch of stop-starts in an attempt to recover near Spoon, falling back to P4 in the process...
The gap widens from there, as the opponents don't take Spoon nor Casio very well, and I cruise to an easy victory as my 6th bar of Nitrous goes away (leaving me with 4).
I ended the practice session with 79 miles, and ended the race with 84 miles on the odometer.
