After 2 hot laps, I qualified P1 with a 2'24.578, 4.730" quicker than P2 while using 6 bars of Nitrous.

With a standing start, the 5 Turbo takes the lead off the launch. The long straight to start the race gives it time to pull a little bit away, but I manage to catch up to it as we enter Turn C. It's right on my tail as we cross T1, so I elect to crash-turn the tunnel after the bridge. It tries to pass on my right as we enter Turn O, but I manage to scrub it for a little more breathing room.

But as we approach the end of Lap 1, it jukes me to the right before passing on my left. I'm now down 0.423" as we start Lap 2, and it starts to pull away despite my spraying. I bash it into the wall at Turn C again, and retake the lead for a while.

I keep it behind with some blocking, and I begin the Final Lap with a 0.101" lead. It doesn't threaten to pass again for a while, but the gap never widens much beyond 1 second.

But coming out of Turn P on the Final Lap, I'm too wide, and it passes me for the lead! I do my best to catch up to it, and I get an opportunity to take away the inside while heading into the hairpin. I do so, sending its right side into the dirt, and juice it to the line with one bar left...

I ended the practice session with 65 miles, and ended the race with 75 miles on the odometer.
