Day 266 (23 DEC, YEAR 1): European Events / Tous France Championnat / Race 1

After purchasing this vehicle, I headed over to the Tune Shop for a few goodies. I bought a bottle, a Triple-plate Clutch, and a Racing Flywheel, and headed over to the TFC.

While testing on my other gamesave, I found a good 200 point lineup: 206 S16, 106 S16, 205 Turbo 16, 5 Turbo, 206 RC. It showed up after around 10 re-entries, and found that it could be beaten. But for reasons I'm not sure of, it took me a LONG time to find a comparable field. I never found the same one, but after around 25 re-entries, I found the one I eventually used.

It's nearly the same, except for the entry of the 106 Rallye instead of the 106 S16, and a 206cc instead of the 206S16. The 200 point settings were nearly identical for both lineups, with the 5 Turbo being "the one to beat".

After 2 hot laps, I qualified P1 with a 1'41.075, 4.151" quicker than P2, while using 4 bars of Nitrous.

Before the race begins, you can see the 5 Turbo slam into the wall. This widens the gap before we even start the race, and there really wasn't much trouble in defeating these chumps. The 5 Turbo would prove to be much more of a nuisance later on...

But other than keeping things steady through the turns, there's not much to the victory, and I finished with a full bottle. For a narrow street circuit like this one, it's simply a matter of starting P1 and keeping out of the Armco. The toughest part of this race was having to watch the replay 4 times to get the finishing gaps.

I ended the practice session with 5 miles, and ended the race with 12 miles on the odometer.
