As with most races, the opponents don't take turns very aggressively, and I make my way into the lead just after T3 of the first lap. The Opel would manage to threaten to pass just before each checkpoint, but I manage to block it each time.
In fact, the Opel takes the lead for a split second just before T3 on the final lap, and my lead is only 0.072". But coming through the chicane and the final turn, I give some spray and hold the Opel off by less than half a second.
I ended the race with 1267.0 miles on the odometer.
