Please refer to these track maps when looking up Turn numbers/names ** Special thanks to AMG @ GTPlanet.net for the hard work put in to generate them!!! **
I'm into P3 as we come out of 2nd Curve, and I use the grass cut into the Esses to pull behind the leader. I pass for the lead as we come out of Gyaku, but I go wide into the dirt out of the Degner kink. I manage to hold the lead, but give it back when I fail to block through 200R. I'm down 0.741" at T2, and as we head into Casio, I bash the V-spec '00 toward the barriers.
It doesn't budge much, but when it tries to recover, it overshoots the track and ends up in the junk on the right. I mistakenly begin my turn-in into the wrong part of the track, and cut back over the grass to take the lead.
On Lap 4, still with the lead, I use the 2nd Curve grass cut again, and the V-spec '00 still manages to catch up to me at 200R. This time, it goes wide on the first part of Spoon, spins, and falls back to P5.
The '87 manages to creep up to P2, less than a second behind at T2 of Lap 5. I get anxious, and decide to cut through Casio to widen the margin, giving some spray as well. I empty the bottle for the Final Lap, doing my best to compensate for my on-and-off driving...
I ended the race with 1260.1 miles on the odometer.
