I kept the Nitrous at 65 for the Practice session, slapped on some S2 tires, and qualified P2 with a 9'13.349, more than 5.6 seconds slower than P1, finishing with an empty bottle. I tried to block the 300SL on my out lap, but I failed miserably and it slips by. For the race, I set the Nitrous to 50, and put the N2/N3 tires back on.
I pass the 300SL for the lead as I come out of Hocheichen, and I build a comfortable lead by the time we hit T5. Of course, the 300SL catches up at Mutkurve, erasing more than a 3 second gap, and I use my best efforts to block & scrub it back into submission.
From T6 to the finish, I never manage to pull away more than 3 seconds from it, and by T11 I'm in the lead by less than half a second. Even after lawnmowing Hohenrain, it's still less than a 2 second victory...
I ended the practice session with 1134 miles, and finished the race with 1148 miles on the odometer.
