Day 222 (9 NOV, YEAR 1): Professional Events / World Classics / Race 1

Now that the 1000 miles! event is over, I continued with the BLRA in the World Classic Car Series. The lineups are very similar to the 1000 miles! events, except for the inclusion of non-European competitors. The toughest ones are the 427, Elan, Jag, Mercury, Buick, Stingray, and 300SL I went up against Lineup #9 (NTSC/USA).

For the Practice session, I upped the Nitrous to 75, and set it back to 65 for the race. I qualified P1 with a 1'44.485, almost 2 seconds quicker than P2, using 7 bars of Nitrous.

Off the launch, I chop down on the 300SL to block it, and I'm in the lead as we cross T2. However, it passes me on the inside for the final right hander, and I give chase along the front straight, down 0.299" at the end of Lap 1.

And as we approach the first turn of the Final Lap, I bash the 300SL deep into the junk. It falls back to 4th place as it recovers, and works its way back into P2 just after I cross the finish line. It serves as fair warning to anyone who's in front of me (or manages to pass me): GET OUT OF MY WAY, OR PAY!!!

I ended the practice session with 1090 miles, and finished the race with 1096 miles on the odometer.
