With the GTO starting in the lead, the other opponents are held behind for a while. This allows me to catch up, despite driving poorly, but I still resort to the grass-cut between the S and V curves.
I'm in P6 when crossing T1, and P1 when I cross T2, 1.489" ahead of the Camaro. But I take the right hander at 90 Degree like an idiot, and the Camaro slips by briefly for the lead. I manage to retake the lead coming out of Victory, as I push the Camaro wide and we both go off to the left.
I've got 8 bars of Nitrous to begin Lap 2, and rely on blocking to stay in front of the pack. However, the Tamora squeezes by just before we head into the S Curve, but I manage to retake the lead on the exit. But, heading into the Hairpin, my braking is way too late, and the Tamora and NSX pass on the inside. I push the NSX wide to the left as we come down the straight, and I come out of 90 Degree on the tail of the Tamora.
I take the lead coming out of Victory, and finish Lap 2 ahead by 0.077" to the Tamora with 7 bars of Nitrous. I use 2 more bars for the final lap to help maintain a healthy lead, and cross the line less than a second ahead of the NSX.
I ended the race with 315.4 miles on the odometer.
