Please refer to these track maps when looking up Turn numbers/names ** Special thanks to AMG @ GTPlanet.net for the hard work put in to generate them!!! **
I failed to win this race 4 times, and wondered why I was having such a hard time. I finally entered the Settings screen to check on what was different, and I realized that I never switched the Ballast back from 127 to 0 after the Clio Trophy races...
I qualified P1 with a 1'51.740, up more than 4 seconds to the CTR2.
Off the launch, the CTR2 takes the lead as I shift from 1st to 2nd gear. I'm still in 2nd place as we enter the next few turns, but I'm completely out of rhythm and end up smacking into the walls of Turn B. I fall from 2nd to 6th, and I'm behind by almost 4 seconds as I cross T1.
I work my way back to 2nd by T2, behind the CTR2 by 2.240". I'm only 0.749" behind when we finish Lap 1, and I'm finally able to pass it for good when coming out of Turn B. From there, I drive much more smoothly and cruise to victory with 1 bar of Nitrous leftover.
I ended the practice session with 129 miles, and ended the race with 139 miles on the odometer.
Here's a video of my run:
