Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays).

Even though I passed this test quite some time ago, it's great to see how true-to-life the track design is. The Formula One Japanese Grand Prix is taking place later tonight, and the on-board shots on TV prove the accuracy of the work of GT4's designers. A great job done and a great track to drive.

For this test, I launch at full throttle with the needle bouncing off the limiter. I clearly wasn't looking to optimize the launch, relying on the TCS to manage things. From there, I follow the Pace Car into the first corner.

Braking for the first right begins as the wall to the right goes off screen. I brake from 98 to 38, beginning to turn in when I'm near 80 mph. I get back on the gas at 38, just as I'm rolling over the inside curb. From there, I try to smooth out my exit and follow the Pace Car.

I think my braking for the left kink is a little too late, and this causes me to brake too deeply before I get back on the gas. I begin braking and turn-in when the left side wall is just to about to go off-screen. I slow down from 106 to 72, then get back on the gas after passing the inside curb.

From here, I take the right hand sweeper (100R) tight. I think a wider entry to the latter part of the turn would help keep speeds higher. Anyway, as I reach the midpoint of the turn, I brake from 95 to 75, then resume the rest of the turn flat out.

I begin braking a little too late for the left hairpin and miss the left side curb. I should've started braking closer to the time that the Pace Car brakes. I slow down from 89 to 48, then I get back on the gas to complete the turn.

I follow the Pace Car as we run through 300R and approach the Dunlop chicane. I use the Pace Car's braking and turn-in point. When I see the Pace Car's brakelights, I stand on the brakes and go from 119 to 50, then I coast into the corner. I have to stab the brakes one more time, to avoid colliding with the Pace Car too hard. I bump him from the back, and head into the left hander along the left side curb.

I come through to the outside, and make my back to the left hand side, for the approach into the next right turn. Being an uphill section, not much braking was needed. I begin turn in, and brake lightly to go from 68 to 57, then ease into the gas as I make my way past the right side curb. I end the turn far to the outside (the left side), and I gradually take the steering to the left after reaching the curb.

After passing the end of the curb, I lift for the approach into the sharp left (Netz). I drop as low as 55, then I give a light dab of the brakes, then flutter the gas as I head toward the inside curb. Speed drops as low as 43 before I get back on the gas.

I keep a steady line toward the left side, but not all the way to the outside. I brake in the middle of the track from 75 to 65, then lightly brake down to 50. I get back to full throttle after pointing toward the inside curb on the right, lift slightly as I roll over the curbing, then get back on it as I come out of Panasonic.

From there, I stay in the Pace Car's draft all the way to the line. I cross at 2'12.412, going 127 mph in 3rd gear.
