Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays).
I like this section of Opera. The AI Opponents really stink here, and you can slip by many of them on the inside, as they usually take wide entries.
Braking for the first part of the left-right-right-left complex begins as I pass under the Firestone banner, and I slow from 67 to 48. Turn in starts just before that, and I get back on the gas after passing the left side curb.
I lift as I come off of the right side curb, to help stay tight to the right. From there, I flutter the gas until I get to the second right's curb. When I'm sure I'll clear the left side wall, I swing the steering to the left and try for a smooth exit.
I make my way back to the left side and stay there until the right-left comes up. For the first part (the right), I simply lift and aim for a straight line along the two inside curbs. After passing the right curb, I brake from 72 to 30 (braking past the left curb). Getting into the right side wall for the exit can really slow this car down.
I stay to the right, and start braking and turn-in for the left hairpin when the curbing on the right side goes off-screen. I try to coast into it, but I flutter the gas too soon and I go wider into the turn than I want. I try to steer smoothly through it and stay to the left side of the track, to get a better entry for the final right.
Still flat-out in 2nd and still steering to the left, I swing the steering to the right when the yellow-orange Autobacs banner starts to go out of view (on the right side wall). I roll over the inside curb and make my exit, heading for the line...
I cross at 0'42.497, going 62 mph in 3rd gear.
