Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays).
This test runs through the final 6 turns of Hong Kong. There are plenty of opportunities to make up time, even if one or two of the turns are taken poorly. Smooth entries and exits from turns will help times tremendously.
This run can definitely be improved. I completely overshot the first left hairpin, braking way too late. Ideally, I would've started braking around 75 m, where the red/white candy striped wall on the right ends.
As it is, I'm very deep into the corner by the time I can get the car around. I straighten the car out and stay to the right.
Braking for the second left comes just after passing the right side rumblestrip. I brake from 66 to 42, then get back on the gas as I roll over the inside curb. I head down the street, making my way to the left side.
Braking for the next right hander begins just after passing under the 50 m sign. I begin turn-in when the left side wall ends, slowing from 84 to 50. I aim to cut the curb, and get back on the gas as I roll over it. It's important to stay out of the left side barrier for the exit, and I round the rest of the turn to head back toward the right side.
I begin braking for the left turn after passing under the 50 m sign, slowing from 77 to 55 as I begin turning in. I'm easy on the gas until I'm well past the inside corner, and I try to make my way back to the left of the road.
I swing the steering back to the right just after passing the middle of the road, then I brake from 57 to 45. I usually try to keep this section tight to the right, to help set up for the final left. For this run, I'm more in the middle of the track. I swing the steering to the left, and lift to make sure I can get a good exit angle. I get back to full throttle after passing the left side curb, and try to make as smooth of an exit as possible.
I head for the line from there, crossing at 1'06.118, going 69 mph in 3rd gear.
