Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays).
This run will start with the car pointed slightly to the left. I like to start this test with a nudge of the steering wheel to the right. The first few turns can be taken flat out, and braking won't be needed until the approach into the double-right.
So after making the left hander leading up to that point, I begin braking and turn-in as the yellow banner section of the left side wall starts to go out of view (about 100 m before the turn). I brake from 115 to 59, steering for a line tight to the right side curb. I get back on the gas after passing the first inside curb, and try to cut a straight line through the second right and the left that follows.
Shifting into 3rd a little early helps settle the car for the left hand exit. This also helps keep the car out of the right side wall, which will cause a huge slow-down coming up the hill. I keep it steady along the right side through the tunnel, and begin turn-in for the uphill left as I exit. I take the left hander flat out, aiming for a line that keeps me near the left side.
Just after I pass the first yellow sign (on the left), I begin braking for the right hander. I begin turn-in between the two yellow signs, and slow down from 98 to 85 before getting back on the gas. I keep it to the right, steering steadily to keep the back end from stepping out.
I set up along the right side, and begin turn-in when the candy-striped wall on the right begins to go by. I keep it full throttle until I come into the tree shadows on the inside of the turn, and ease back into it as I pass it.
Unfortunately, I took a bad entry angle and/or came in too hot, and I go wide to the right for the exit. Somehow, I manage to keep the front end from colliding with the wall, no DQ is issued, and I continue on to pass the line. I cross at 0'36.225, going 103 mph in 3rd gear.
