Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays).

This car, for this test, will benefit from early shifting. If you're using an Automatic Transmission, then don't even worry. You can still get a good time. But if you're a MT kinda guy/gal, then you'll want to take advantage of the improved traction and/or torque in the lower part of the gears.

So with that said, I start this test with my finger on the R2 button (Upshift). It'll get the car in gear before it catches air, which is what I do for the shift into 4th as well (shifting near 76 mph). I try to keep the car along the right for the approach into the first turn.

Shortly after passing under the Michellin banner, I brake for the left hander. Turn-in begins at the same time, but I don't really crank the steering wheel until a little later. This helps me set the car's angle before I swing the back end out.

I slow down from 87 to 50, then I coast/slide around the corner in 2nd gear, trying to maintain the low to mid 40s. I keep nudging the steering to the left, to maintain a good angle, and keep the turn tight to the left.

There's a bush along the left side as I approach the right hand turn. I use this as a marker for braking, as well as for the change in direction. I stab the brakes from 57 to 51, then get back on the gas to power through, all in 2nd gear. My speed dips as low as 40 mph, and the turn's going great. But I pull out of the turn too early (I nudged the steering to the left), and quickly realize my mistake. I steer back to the right, and manage to hit the bushes with my back end to avoid a DQ. Fortunately, it was just before the finish line so I don't lose that much time, but I lose some time unnecessarily.

I cross at 0'17.795 going 55 mph in 2nd gear.
