Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays). All replays will be shown in 1st person mode (in-cabin, the same display that I have when driving).
This test is quite straight-forward. The main key is to take it easy through the left handers. For the first turn (a double-left), I often have trouble getting back on the gas too early. This usually sets me wide to the right on the exit, and I lose a bit of speed putting the right side in the dirt. Keeping speeds in the low to mid 60s for the first turn will allow for a good exit angle and speed.
I found it best to shift into 3rd before coming out of the first corner. You can get better grip in the lower part of 3rd gear than if you were in the high part of 2nd, and it helps make a steadier turn.
I shift early into 4th as I approach the final turn, but I can't remember why I did that. Maybe it was for the same reasons as above, but the car doesn't usually have a problem taking that turn in 3rd. I don't brake, and take it flat-out. I cross the line at 0'15.678 going 101 mph in 4th...
