Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily my best times (CLICK HERE for my best times/replays). All replays will be shown in 1st person mode (in-cabin, the same display that I have when driving).

A fun, quick run through the Metzgesfeld section of The Ring. Most FF cars, with stock settings, won't allow for kicking out the tail end to help complete the tighter turns. The 2nd left hander is a great place to do so, but not while using the Golf.

For the first left hander, I stay off the brake, but lift when I'm at 94 mph, and get back on the gas when I arrive at the inside curb. I hold 90 through the turn, and prepare for the next left by staying to the right.

I nearly get DQ'd for going off, but I hold it together before the curbing ends. After straightening out, I begin to brake when the inside curbing starts to go out of view. I turn in to the left, and get back on the gas after slowing from 95 to 50.

No need to be too forceful with the wheel. With the TCS activated, I try to take as smooth of an exit as possible, trying not to use too much of the curbing on the right. For front-wheel drive cars, it's best to keep the front as settled as possible when accelerating.

I cross the line at 0'17.186, going 79 mph in 3rd gear...
