While at a disadvantage power-wise, the Tires on the mm-R allow for later braking and higher speeds through turns...

There are around 11 seconds on the clock when this Mission begins, and the leader is just about to enter the first corner. I pass the SKYLINE on the insde of Turn 1, but my angle is bad and my exit is wide. I might've been able to pass the Lancer as well, but my exit stinks.
L1 T1: + 0'03.959
I pass the Lancer on the inside while braking for Turn 3. I pass the IMPREZA as we come through Turn 4.
L1 T2: + 0'02.571
The RX-7 brakes very early for the final hairpin, so I'm careful to avoid contact. I pass it on the inside to Turn 7, putting me into 2nd place with the leader just a couple hundred meters away.

As with the RX-7, I pass the NSX on the inside while braking for Turn 7. As I exit, I try to stay a little bit to the right to prevent the NSX from drafting me. I didn't do it very well, but whatever. From there, it's an uneventful procession to the finish.

Please note that for some Races/Missions, the opponents will sometimes (not always) slow down considerably when the leader crosses the line. This happens here, so the actual gap is likely to be smaller.
