S: + ???
There are just under 10 seconds on the clock when this Mission begins, and the leader is making its way through Mirabeau. I elected to wallride the left hander between Massanet and Casino, and I nearly get a penalty for smacking the wall.
L1 T1: + 0'38.921
After exiting Portier, I pass the Fiat just as I head into the tunnel. As I approach Nouvelle Chicane, I try to scrub some speed using the wall on the right. I fail... miserably... and end up smacking the wall with the side of the car as well as the left side wall as I proceed through. No penalty, and I move on...
L1 T2: + 0'32.355
I nudge the left side barrier as I make my way through Anthony Noghes, and this slows me down quite a bit.
L1 F: + 0'28.256
I pass the Abarth on the inside while entering Ste. Devote, and elect to wallride the left turn at the top of the hill again.
L2 T1: + 0'21.790
I smack the outside wall just before entering Portier, but not enough for a penalty. I pass the Spider while going through the tunnel. I take the chicane normally this time, but I change direction too sharply and hit the inside corner. This slows me down a lot, but I avoid the penalty.
L2 T2: + 0'14.234
L2 F: + 0'11.105
I pass the Speciale on the inside while entering Ste. Devote, and wallride the left turn at the top of the hill... one last time. My braking coming out of it (and into Casino) stinks, and I end up very wide. Coming out of Mirabeau, the GTA comes into sight.
L3 T1: + 0'05.815
I take the lead just as I come out of the tunnel.
L3 T2: - 0'03.164
As I approach the exit of Piscine, my turn in for the final left is too sharp, and I correct to the right. This puts me into the right side wall on the exit, and I manage to avoid a penalty.
F: - 0'06.644
I cross the line at 6'20.418, going 96 mph in 4th gear.
This was a very sloppy run, even without the wallriding. I think I can get a much better time, but that'll have to wait for later...
