There are 11 seconds on the clock when this Mission begins. The leader is midway through Rue de Rivoli.
L1 T1: + 0'10.864
I'm on the Xsara's tail as I come through Place Vendome, but I rear-end it and bump the right side wall as I exit. It's not until the entry into Turn 5 that I overtake it.
L1 T2: + 0'09.424
The final turns through Place de la Concorde are where most of the time is gained. I pass the Mitsu on the inside of Turn 8.
L1 F: + 0'06.595
I pass the COROLLA on the inside of Turn 2. There's plenty of fender-rubbing, but not enough for a penalty.
L2 T1: + 0'06.178
Heading into the Place de Opera, I come in way too hot from Rue de la Paix. I don't know why, but my braking was way too mild, and I come to a near stop to avoid hitting the right side wall too hard. I avoid a penalty, but I lose a lot of time.
L2 T2: + 0'05.723
I take the inside of the Escort for the entry into Turn 7, passing it midway through. For the final left turn, my back end steps out and the revs bog badly. I straighten it out and proceed from there.
L2 F: + 0'03.835
The FOCUS is in sight. I don't catch up to it until we reach the end of Rue Royale.
L3 T1: + 0'03.039
Heading into Place de Opera, I come in too hot again. I don't slow down as much as I did on the previous lap, but it was still taken poorly.
L3 T2: + 0'01.601
As with the Escort, I pass the FOCUS on the inside of Turn 7. I pass it midway through for the lead.

I cross the line at 4'35.607, going 82 mph in 4th gear.
